adidas X15.1 Cleats Revealed – Details and Release Date

adidas X15.1 FG/AG – The all new adidas X cleats were revealed today on the main site and press release.  Also known as the “chaos” boot, it is designed for players who ignite the game and cannot be controlled.  Some players who will wear the X15.1 include Thomas Muller, Gareth Bale, and Luis Suarez.

Features of the X15.1 include Techfit collar with compression fit, light X-Skin upper material, X-Cage for stability, X-Claw studs for firm ground and artificial ground surface, and NSG (Non Stop Grip) for control in any conditions. It will retail for $220. According to Soccer.com the weight of the X 15.1 synthetic is 7.5 oz while the leather X 15.1 comes in at 8.1 oz.

The X series will come in synthetic and leather versions as well as tiered levels such as X15.1, X15.2, X15.3 and X15.4 covering all needs from pro to beginner. There will also be turf, indoor, and indoor Boost varieties for the X15.

The X15 series is scheduled to be released in the solar yellow / black colorway July 1st 2015 online and in adidas retail stores.

Update 6-5-15: The X cleats are now available for pre-order in sizes 6.5-13.5.

F50, Predator, Nitrocharge, and 11Pro to be Replaced by All New Cleats

Today adidas announced some huge news concerning their 4 main soccer cleat silos the F50, Predator, Nitrocharge, and 11Pro.  These 4 lines are going to be phased out this year and replaced by all new models which will be officially revealed on May 25th.
