One of the most anticipated new Boost shoes has been released today, the adizero Boston 5 Boost. This is a neutral light weight running shoe for fast pace training and distance racing. At 8.8 oz and a heel toe drop of around 9-10 mm, it falls in between the Adios Boost and the Supernova Glide Boost. So if you are looking for a shoe that is made for speed but still want more cushioning than a minimal style shoe like the Adios, the Boston Boost is a great option.
The Boston 5 Boost of course features the Boost cushioning like most of the new high end running shoes. The upper is a mix of mesh and synthetic suede materials. It has the Extended Torsion system and a molded EVA sockliner for support and cushioning. The sole features Continental rubber for excellent durability and grip on a variety of surfaces.
The adizero Boston 5 Boost is available now for $120 in men’s sizes 6.5 – 13 and women’s sizes 5 – 12. There are currently 2 colors available for the men’s shoe and 1 for the women’s but expect more colorways to roll out for the Boston Boost over the next few months.
