It features a sleek upper design with mixed materials such as stretched jersey, elastic, leather, and suede. It has the slip on style construction with wide tongue strap across the midfoot for a secure fit.

Branding is kept to a minimum as has been the trend with the original Tubulars. The Tubular Defiant is completed with the distinctive EVA tube midsole/outsole with scored marks through the length of the sole.
