adizero 99g cleats – Today adidas announced the rumored 99g soccer cleats will be a reality and are expected to be released on April 15 in extremely limited quantity.  Only 299 pairs are being sold globally and they are only being made in a US size 9.

This will be the lightest soccer cleat made coming in at only 99 grams which translates to just 3.5 oz making it significantly lighter than even the adizero F50 Crazylight boots.

It features a thin polyester mesh upper material paired with a 1mm polyamide sole for lightweight stability.

The adizero 99g will be part of the Limited Collection with other special releases such as the Primeknit 2.0 and Primeknit FS cleats expected later.

The adizero 99g will be sold at Soccer.com and the official website.

UPDATE: 4-15-15 The adizero 99g was released on the US site this morning in very limited quantity but sold out very fast. It was available in size 9 for $300.
