Today adidas announced the new Ultra Boost running shoe which features a full Boost sole with 20% more Boost capsules than any other shoe previously released. With the upgraded cushioning comes a Primeknit upper material, new Stretch Web outsole, and a dual density Torsion system. It also features a new heel design for achilles tendon comfort as well as a featherweight sockliner.
The Ultra Boost has a weight of 10.9oz bringing it in at about an ounce heavier than the Energy Boost. It has a 10mm heel toe drop and bottom gauge measurements of 110/69/88mm for the sole width.
The Ultra Boost has been tested and designed from the ground up with the goal of making the greatest running shoe ever. It is expected to be released February 11th on adidas.com and select retailers for $180. The main website also mentions a sign up for a limited release later this month.
