Today adidas introduced the new D Rose 5 Boost and Crazylight Boost basketball shoes. These are the first basketball shoes to use the Boost cushioning material. They were tested extensively and athletes unanimously prefered the Boost shoes to non-Boost alternatives.
The Crazylight Boost is scheduled for an August 1st global release with a September 1st US release. It will be $140 and have a weight of 11.6 oz. It will feature the Boost heel, Shockweb mesh, Stableframe, Torsion, and a Geofit Techfit tongue. It combines a low top and high top style for both mobility and stability.
The D Rose 5 Boost is scheduled for an October 16th release with a US release scheduled for October 23rd. Reports are saying it will be either $140 or $160 which may depend on the location it is sold. The D Rose 5 Boost has a full length Boost sole for maximum cushioning. It has a new EVA fit cage for stability, Sprintweb, TPU plate for support, and mesh pockets for breathability. No weight has been announced yet for this model.
