adidas 5 Star 3.0 Camouflage Cleats Now On Sale

Back in November we saw a tease of a possible new colorway for the 5 Star football cleats.  A few pros were given a black and white camouflage zig zag patterned cleat to wear during the games.  There was also an extremely limited release of this cleat around that time from a few sporting goods retailers.   It was unclear if adidas was actually going to release this color again.

Today out of nowhere the camouflage 5 Star 3.0 cleat went on sale on the main website, and not only in black and white, but also navy/white, and even maroon/white.  Maroon is a highly sought after color so this should please a lot of people.

The 5 Star cleat is available in the low cut edition and features the same specs as the current 5 Star 3.0 cleat.  At 6.7 oz this is a very light cleat which is made possible by the Sprintframe, Sprintweb, and Sprintstuds.  It also features a Techfit tongue and Sprintfoam for comfort.

The 5 Star 3.0 Camouflage cleats are on sale now in sizes 8.5-15 for $110 at adidas.com.

Today a crocodile leather Stan Smith in a gold tan color was released.  This premium version features a crocodile pattern upper on the classic Stan Smith silhouette.  This shoe also features synthetic leather lining as well as a brown tan sole with white foxing.  This may be a limited release so get yours now in sizes 4-14 for $95 at adidas.com.

adidas Rod Laver Original Green White is Back

Rod Laver – If you have been following this blog, you have seen the recent release of the Rod Laver in blue and red as well as the preview for a new modified version of the Rod Laver in white green and red which is supposed to be released in April.  However we did not expect the return of the classic white and green Rod Laver any time soon.

This morning we were surprised to see the original white and green colorway people have been looking for is back on the site for sale now!  The shoe features the air mesh upper, synthetic leather eyestays and heel, and a suede toe guard.  Inside you will find synthetic lining as well as the green pivot point cupsole on the outside.

This shoe is sure to sell quickly and who knows the next time it will be restocked.  You can pick them up now in sizes 4-14 for $65.

Update 9-15-15: The classic Rod Laver with polyurethane sole is now available in sizes 5-14 for $75.

adidas Messi 370 and F50 Crazylight

Yesterday adidas celebrated Leo Messi’s goal milestone by releasing a special limited edition version of the F50 cleat.   This cleat features silver with red and blue dot pattern as well as being individually numbered as there are only about 370 pairs being released.  This boot is based on the previous generation F50.  Most of them sold out within about a 1/2 hour of their release yesterday.  You might be able to get a pair being resold on ebay but expect to pay a premium considering how rare they are and the original price of $369.

It has been a big week for adidas soccer as they have also announced the official pictures and release date of the new F50 Crazylight cleat.  This cleat will be the lightest available at only 4.7 oz and is expected to go on sale April 1st.   It will also be limited and is expected to sell for around $300.  It will feature a new upper material designed to reduce the weight even more than the current hybrid touch material used on the F50.

We are still waiting for the Prime Knit cleat to go on sale.  The word was that it was to be released today March 17th.  It is being sold on the UK site, but so far no sign of it yet on the US site.  Keep your eyes peeled as it should arrive soon.
