The new adidas Messi cleat has just gone up for pre-order on the adidas US website.  Like previous versions it is closely based on the F50 adizero TRX FG.   The new boot comes in a distinctive 4 color rainbow upper with the solar slime green frame.  When comparing the Messi cleat to the regular F5o, the main difference is that the Messi does not have the Speedfoil but instead maintains the Hybridtouch synthetic leather all the way around the heel.  There is also the Messi logo on the heel as well as the name on the tongue.  Like the F50, the Messi features the Sprintframe, Dribbletex texture, and Speedtraxion studs.  It should be about the same weight as the current F50 which is in the mid 5 oz range.  The new Messi cleat is available now for pre-order for $230 and launches officially on March 1st, 2014.
