Since its release, the Energy Boost has been one of the best and most popular adidas running shoes on the market. For months, runners have been asking about the next version of the Energy Boost and it is finally here. The Energy Boost 2.0 is very similar to the original version. The main difference that can be seen is the TPU cage over the upper which provides a bit more structure and stability. It also adds just a slight bit of weight bringing it to 9.7 oz over the previous 9.5 oz of the original. There is also a $10 price increase for the new 2.0 version bringing it to $160. Expect similar performance with the same Boost cushioning as well as the Techfit upper, Torsion, and Adiwear sole. The Energy Boost 2.0 is available now in several colors for pre-order and launches officially on February 26th 2014.
